Marcoe Family Picnic

We went to the annual Marcoe Family Picnic Reunion at Spanaway Lake in the Tacoma WA area. Derrah, Marissa and Caleb went too. Here are some pics... This picnic has been going on since Gramma/Mom Wanden was a little kid... There will be more on the Marcoe Family Website soon...

Out Of Town

We are heading up north tomorrow, going to Bruce's dad's. He turns 90 years old tomorrow, he is active and sharp minded still, what a blessing. We will leave in the morning and stop at Ivar's in Mukeltio. That is where all the brothers and sisters gather for b-days. We will stay over night a couple nights then head to my folks on Friday for the weekend. The Marcoe Family Picnic is this coming Sunday (13th) and we will head home after that. Weather has been gorgeous and is supposed to stay that way ALLLLL week, AND we are hoping this is just the beginning of a

longggggggg summer !! Will report after the weekend.

It is one of my babies birthdays !! Christy turns 34 today :)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

WELLL what an experience to go take a shower and your water heater isn't working properly. No hot water, no breaker thrown, hmmmm your guess is as good as mine !! So Bruce called the manager cuz our water heater is only 4-5 years old. At least maybe the manager can give us a name of someone to call about it. I dislike things that break down easy and are needed the most -- Cars / Washers / Dryers / WATER HEATERS !!!

Trip to Las Vegas

Bruce had a convention that the state paid him to go to. Bev and Scott met us there and we had a real nice time. I rented a scooter so I wouldn' t have to talk so much and so my legs didn't ache at night and bring me to tears.
We went over to Casino Royal next door to Harrah's here is Bruce ...


Thursday evening after Bev and Scott got there we went to Toby Keith's I love this bar and grill and had dinner. I had a club sandwich, Bruce had the country fried steak, Bev had a bbq burger and Scott had the chili burger, all were good. We were going to have a fried twinkie there but we forgot :(

Then on friday we took the free bus over to Sam's Town. Here we are on the bus...


And some pics inside, they have a nice area inside that looks like outside. It is acclimated to 72 degrees and it has stuffed animals...

And we ate at the buffet there and it was good - it was Friday so it was Seafood and fish fry. All done, Scott having after dinner coffee and Bruce having pie ...

Trip to JackPot Nevada

Bruce and I, Hali and Toby drove over to JackPot, NV. I had never been there. The weather was great, until we got back to Boise yesterday and it was 100 degrees - whewwwww. Here are some pics of the trip.

Stopped for a quick bite and the window washer was working so we got our windows cleaned...


I guess there are no REAL palm trees around Twin Falls ...


Here we are coming into JackPot - what you see - is JackPot... It's about 1/2 mile long, maybe if you stretch it - 3/4 of a mile long ...


Here is where we stayed -- At the HorseShu. There are two areas, Antelope and Buffalo, we were in the Antelope side...

And below is Catus Pete's where we were mostly. We ate at Barton's 93 for lunch, there is a shuttle that takes you around to the I think 4 total different places...

OH OH OH -- Hali and I were in the car waiting for Bruce and Toby to check in - AND this kid got out of a car in front of us who looked just like Nathan in sun glasses. I said- is that Nathan, no it couldn't be - Hali said it looks like Nathan. Same facial features, beard, color hair and camo hat on etc. Then he lit a cigarette so we knew it wasn't -- later inside, I asked him if I could take a pic of him cuz he looked like my son. He laughed and obliged me ...

Bruce just rested ... oh look a bouy in the water !!




On the way back to Boise we stopped at Twin Falls to eat and take pics of the new temple...
We stopped at Sonic to eat cuz I had never been to one, it's a drive in place only and they bring your food to you, but it was so nice we ate at the tables...


Then off to find the temple, you can see it in the distance, so Toby google it and found the roads we needed to be on...




Hali either needs photography lessons or she didn't see the tree in the way - hehe ...
And then Bruce decided to take a walk while all the pic taking was going on - so we passed him in the car, and Toby asked if he new if the temple was close by...Bruce responded - no, he hadn't seen one...


Oh and we stopped at WalMart and Bruce of course noticed this roll back sign...

Wow what a deal ... was 98 cents now 2.50 !!

We had a great time with Hali and Toby, hopefully one day we can do something fun with the other kids. Their kids were with Toby's step sister, so we missed having them around.
