WASHOUGAL GALS

Back in 1983 when we moved to Washougal, the church ward there was one of a kind. We all became so close, real sisters !! I fanagled a dinner since Laurie, one of 'us' was going to be back in town for a week, she has been in Atlanta since HP cut and shipped her out. And I surprised them all with my sister-in-law Char, who is from the farthest most southeasterly SPOT in Idaho one can get, who is also one of 'us'. We had a wonderful dinner at the BEST Chinese Restr in WA. The Chinese Garden in Camas, WA.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US :)

Went to Long Beach, had a great time and the weather was good :) chilly but sunny. Bruce made an apple cake and it was yummy. Also we fed the deer apples every day except for today- they never showed up AND in the morning we heard two close up gun shots, Grandpa said it was a shot gun :( hopefully no one shot them.

Quilting Again !!

I haven't been doing much quilting latetly, just haven't felt like it. But I decided to get busy with this next year's Picnic Quilt. So I got to a point where as a group we needed to make some decisions, so I opened up a package I'd received a few months ago from Connecting Threads. It is a table runner, I saw the pic and just had to HAVE it !! I did some quitling on the brown floral parts but you can't see it (thank heavens-as I am still learning that part and need much practice).

COMPUTERS !!!!!!!!!

Well we have another computer on the way. Ours decided to crash. I am going to blame it on a gal from church, she must of given us a virus the other night at a bible study !! HAHA She talked about how hers had crashed, and the next day WHAM !! Something got to our motherboard, so I think computer virus' can be transmitted through humans !!

FALL - I think it's here !!!

Well it is here - I can see the beautiful Fall colors beginning to show up on the trees. I used to love Fall because of football and only because of football. My sons played and that was a very good time in my life, I loved watching them play. Otherwise before that it meant the dreaded WINTER is coming. I don't mind snow. It's those grey, wet, dreary, depressing days that I dislike.

Hali TAGGED me so I am supposed to come up with 6 quirks about myself...then tag six others to do the same ...
1. Flossing or toothpicking my teeth. I do it all the time, I can't stand things in my teeth. I have floss and/ or toothpicks in the car, by the computer, bathroom, kitchen, purse, bedstand, ahhhhhhhh what's the matter with me. I don't use floss as much now as I do those plastic brush toothpicks in the little containers.

2. I eat my cereal dry. Always dry no milk.

3. And I cannot go out without my makeup on. Not that it changes the way I look much, but it is just something I cannot go out without.

4. I am told I flip my hair when I talk, like my daughter Derrah does.

5. Oh the snail mail - I have to get the mail, my day isn't complete until I have gotten the mail. Never much good in it but I just have to get it.

6. I was reminded that I doodle when I talk on the phone, I can use several pieces of paper doodling away.

AND Hali can come get all the dust she wants from my house !!!

WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP ON THE ROOF !! Yes, you are 79 years young (on Oct 22) BUT you are accident prone, and even you have to admit that !!! Dick was there to help - Jeff, Diane's hubby has been helping and Dale was there today to help ...Dick helping. Loading the truck for the dump trip.
